FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to the most common questions about our services, processes, and warranties.

Which finish is better: water-based or oil-based?+
Both are excellent options. Water-Based vs. Oil-Based Finish Water-based finishes offer faster drying, lower odor, and a natural appearance. Oil-based finishes provide a warmer, richer look and excellent durability but require more drying and curing time. We can recommend the best option based on your flooring, lifestyle, and desired appearance.
What payment methods do you accept?+
We accept cash, check, credit cards, Venmo, and Zelle for your convenience.
How should I care for my hardwood floors after the service is complete?+
Allow the finish to fully cure before placing rugs or heavy furniture. Water-based finishes dry quickly but take approximately 2–3 weeks to fully cure. Oil-based finishes take longer to dry and typically require 1–2 weeks to fully cure. During the curing period, avoid rugs, dragging furniture, and excessive moisture.
What happens if the floor gets damaged?+
If your hardwood floor is damaged after the service is completed, contact us for an evaluation. We will assess the damage and recommend the best repair or refinishing solution. ALFHA is not responsible for scratches, dents, chips, or damage occurring after project completion
Warranty+

This warranty does not cover: • Manufacturer defects • Moisture-related damages • Scratches • Dents • Pet damage • Abuse or misuse • Improper cleaning products • Lack of maintenance • Normal wear and tear • Damage caused by moving furniture or appliances • Damage caused by third parties 2.
